Life of a sub 2

Hey hey.. So, I promised you an update on my life as the sub, didn't I? I apologize for not updating sooner. For those who read this blog, I say, thanks mate! My period as the sub ended on 16th of November 2014. The few final weeks were spent invigilating exams. Fun, because instead of walking around hawking over kids trying to get the answers outta their heads, I get to finish a novel! Hahaha. Not too good, I know. But, who cares, right? Nobody watches over me. At the same time, I have to watch over form 3 students since it's after their PT3 exam. They no longer have classes to attend to, their teachers were involved in invigilating SPM and STPMs, and all that is left was me and a few other teachers. They get to play volleyball! Cool isn't it? For my final day, we had a meeting that lasts till 5 pm. God, it was torture! I don't even know how my mom endure this stuff in her days as a teacher, not to mention she was a principle once. I mean, seriously. You'v...

Life of a sub

Hey hey.. I've never worked longer than five days before this in my life. And now, I have! I've just finished the third week of my sub teaching period, and I'm an official one since I just got my offer letter today. Exciting stuff. I don't know how to teach. I can't teach someone to write a sentence in English to save my life. I just don't know how. But, three weeks of barely teaching and mostly sitting on my arse, my opinion on teaching shifts just a bit. All I know, mingling with kids are fun. With restricted age though. 13 to 19 only.  hahaha Never thought that I would qualify to be a sub teacher. Much less to be working in a religious school as this one. Quite intimidating, I should say. I came from an moderately religious family. We don't take the heavy subjects on religion such as Quran studies, Hadiths, and others. So, to be there, mixing myself with said teachers and said students, did make me feel quite inferior.  I plan to ...

Ranting of a teacher's daughter

Hi. Happy Malaysia Day, Malaysians! Hoping that we can maintain this amazing understanding and discard the bad things or people and live towards the greater future of this country. Not to forget, I have a few friends who tied the knots these past days, I wish you guys all the luck in the world, cherish your new life partner, and you should consider them a part of you already. Till death do us part vow meant till death do you part. Love them then like you love them now. Done with wishes, I'd like to express how disappointing it was seeing the exam questions of UPSR got leaked. Two papers were leaked, English and Science. The kids have to retake the English paper 20 days after they already finished answering the said paper. I have no one to blame here. Sometimes bad timing made people do bad things. For the kids, don't blame anyone. It won't solve this problem. Soldier on, kids. If you can live with bad news like this in your early life, you can handle anything in your...

Palestine + Syria

Assalamualaikum and ahoy hoy I am at loss for words when it comes to the fate of my fellow Muslims and survivors in Palestine and Syria. My problems will never be as big and deadly as yours, I apologize for being ungrateful sometimes. My du'a will always have reservations for you guys. May God let you win triumphantly.

Ramadhan.

Assalamualaikum to my muslim friends. And to non muslim ones, Ahoy hoy. :) Ramadhan is here again for the 25th year of my life. The experience of fasting at home is always have and always has been amazing. I do not degrade fasting everywhere else, but home is where the heart is. Got the chance to be calm and read Quran once again. I started a few days ago, and my aim to Khatam before Ramadhan ends, hopefully. :) Now, I've got to Surah An-Nisa, the third surah. I should read the meanings too, but haven't got the chance to do that (or am I procrastinating again? hmm. Bad move, CK). Anyways, I want to wish a great fasting month of Ramadhan to all muslims, regardless of race and age. Let's make this month the greatest month of our devotion to Allah, shall we? And to my non muslim friends, I bet you miss having lunch with us. ;) Well, we can eat together again on Eid Adha. 27 more days to go!!! :D

R.I.P. Oberyn, my sweet prince.

To all GoT fans, rejoice. For it is confirmed that the beloved series will be continued for Season 5 and 6. Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room. How in God's green earth did Oberyn Martell lose that fight? Oberyn was everything great, he's a prince from Dorn, a ladies man, a great fighter, and hates Lannisters and The Mountain. What's bad about him is he is dead now. How could you leave us, Oberyn? I hope that Twyin would see in his dead-heart that Tyrion is so much more than just an imp. He's mentally advanced far more than anybody on King's Landing except Tywin himself. He's just too valuable to be discarded now. Plus, he's a Lannister. The one who should be killed is Cersei, that disgusting brother-humping woman. I hated her with a passion. Anyway, Arya's epic laugh at the bloody gate left me and my brother smiling all along. So sorry about the death, Hound. Ha ha.. Good night loves, xx. Good night my prince, sleep tight.
